Mar 20, 2016 svchost taking 25% of CPU resources constantly : sysadmin Windows 7 x64 users so far, running Dell Laptops E7250. Laptops have an image deployed from MDT, all our workstations run this image too but they dont get this problem. The laptops (E7250) have the fan in full blown mode and svchost at a steady 25%. I have clean installed Windowss 7 and used the regular update process to update and installed 151 important updates & ignored all the optional updates and everything seemed to be normal. After a day or so, suddenly i see there is a process running continuously and consuming 25% CPU and found the culprit to be svchost.exe(netsvcs).
