Wii unable to connect + inconsistent WiFi connection Wii can only connect to a 2.4 GHz wireless b or g connection. So make sure it's not connecting to a 5GHz WiFi. Also make sure your router is broadcasting in wireless b/g (theres also n and ac which are newer, but wii can't connect to them). You said you reset your router, so it's possible it's only broadcasting something the wii can't connect to.
So, I noticed that inside the Wii is a Broadcom wireless chip for doing wireless internet over 802.11g networks. Im pretty sure these chips can technically do 802.11n with a software update, just
